The lithograph was printed and published by Tyler Graphics, New York. Pencil inscription recto reads “Special Proof for Peter & Eric.” Provenance: Estate of Peter Schlesinger and Eric Boman / Private Collection, South Woodstock, Vermont / Vertu Fine Art, Boca Raton, Florida / Private Collection, Florida. The proof comes from Peter Schlesinger, widely recognised as David Hockney’s muse and former partner, and from Schlesinger’s subsequent companion, the photographer Eric Boman.
