Additional Information: Sydney K. Hamburger’s biomorphic forms were primarily influenced by 1950s abstract expressionism. Her work can be found in many public and private collections, including those of Talbot Bank, the Wurlitzer Foundation, Easton Academy of the Arts, Chesapeake College and Mr. & Mrs. Randolph Rothschild. Palm Beach Modern Auctions would like to thank the consignor for sharing the fruits of his research into the artist’s background, notes he assembled following his acquisition of a substantial collection of her work.
